Capitol Hill Update: Expanding Children's Health Insurance, Supreme Court's New Term

Tom Fudge: A poll in today's Washington Post shows that most Americans oppose President Bush on two major current issues. About 70 percent want the president's $190 billion request for war spending in Iraq and Afghanistan reduced. On the domestic side of the ledger, about 70 percent of Americans want Bush to sign a $30 billion increase in spending for the State Children's Health Insurance Program . Bush has threatened to veto the bill passed by Congress.
