What: Screening of the documentary about the Iraq & Afghanistan wars and occupations
"Winter Soldier II -- A Grassroots View"
Featuring testimony from U.S. veterans who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan occupations, giving accurate, eye-witness accounts of what is really happening day on the ground on a daily basis.
The documentary was shot during a four-day event, which most major media ignored, last March which brought together veterans from across the country to testify and present video and photographic evidence about their experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition, panels of scholars, veterans, journalists, and other specialists gave context to the testimony. The panels covered everything from the history of the GI resistance movement to the fight for veterans' health benefits and support.
