6-Year-Old Shooting Victim Was Former San Diego Resident

One of the 6-year-old students killed in Friday's school shooting in Connecticut was a former San Diego resident, it was learned today.

A blog operated by Avielle Richman's parents to chronicle the family's life on the East Coast makes occasional references to chilly weather in their new hometown, compared to San Diego.

"While I would love to be living back in San Diego and its easy-on-the- weatherman 70 degrees and sunny everyday weather, I sure do love the four seasons here,'' an Oct. 7 post says.

The blog also displays a photograph of a certificate that Avielle received when she completed kindergarten, a picture of snow and images of her birthday in October. The last posting was of the Stamford, Conn., Thanksgiving parade on Nov. 19.

It was unclear exactly when the family left San Diego.
