San Diego County Gasoline Price Rises To Highest Amount Since March 2013

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Thursday to its highest amount since March 20, 2013, increasing 1.8 cents to $4.122.

The average price has increased nine consecutive days, including six-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 7.8 cents higher than one week ago, 16.6 cents more than one month ago and 10.3 cents above what it was one year ago.

"Traditionally, gas prices tend to rise in the spring before peaking sometime in May,'' said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
