Enron convictions shouldn't effect CA consumers

A consumer advocate says the convictions of former Enron executives Ken Lay and Jeffrey Skilling won't make a difference to the pocketbooks of California consumers. Michael Shames with the Utility Consumers Action Network, calls the verdicts a small consolation:

Shames: These men will likely spend the next 10-20 years in the minimum security prison affectionately called club fed as while we are continuing and will have to over the next ten years payback for some $45-billion in overcharges as a result of the catastrophe that once was called energy reform.

California Senator Joe Dunn says the verdicts do little to get back billions
of dollars he says Enron ripped off from Californians. Dunn chaired a committee that investigated energy price manipulation in California.
