Forest Firefighters Quash Three 'Suspicious' Blazes on Sunday

California Forestry officials are putting the finishing touches on their efforts to put out the largest of three wildfires that ignited on Sunday. CAL FIRE 's Roxanne Provaznik says the Banner fire scorched 110 acres. She says it is fully contained this afternoon and the fire should be fully controlled by tomorrow afternoon.

Provaznik : Containment is they've got a line constructed all the way around the perimeter of the fire. Controlled means it’s completely out, no hot spots, no smoke. The fire is safe and it’s not going anywhere.

The Deer fire burned about 60 acres yesterday. Investigators are looking into the cause of both fires. The origin is each case is considered suspicious. A third wildfire that was quickly contained is being linked to a golf cart igniting dry grass.
