Officials have issued a new round of mandatory evacuations in San Diego County. County spokeswoman Lesley Kirk says all residents in the Bonsall, San Luis Rey Heights and Winterwarm areas of Fallbrook are told to leave the area to avoid the Rice Fire.
Residents are advised to go to a shelter at Mira Costa College on Barnard Drive, north of Highway 78 in Oceanside.
Kirk says the entire town of Julian is threatened by the Witch Fire and now is under mandatory evacuation orders.
Water and power in the town are down.
The nearest shelter is at Borrego High School on Diegueno Road in Borrego Springs.
