The La Jolla Playhouse has just announced its 2008-09 season, which is the first programmed entirely by new artistic director Christopher Ashley. We talk to Ashley about what to expect this season on

Tom Fudge : Three months ago Christopher Ashley arrived in San Diego to officially take over the reigns as artistic director at the La Jolla Playhouse. He left Broadway to come here, after directing what is now the hit musical Xanadu . San Diegans will get to see Xanadu this year because it concludes the theater's latest season, one that includes a Charles Busch play and the classic Tobacco Road . This is the first season Ashley has programmed as artistic director, so it should tell us a lot about his interests and plans for the La Jolla Playhouse.
