Woman Held in San Diego Courthouse Bombing Probe Denied Bail

A woman arrested during an FBI investigation into a bombing at San Diego's federal courthouse has been ordered to remain in custody without bond.

Rachelle Carlock has pleaded not guilty to charges of using a fake driver's license to try to buy gunpowder, being a felon in possession of explosive materials and identity theft.

Prosecutors told a magistrate judge at Wednesday's hearing in El Centro that Carlock and violated her parole after a 1999 robbery conviction and posed a danger to the community.

Carlock's attorney said nothing in court documents links her client to the May 4 bombing, which damaged the courthouse lobby and sent nails and other shrapnel flying as far as two blocks. No one was injured.
