A small earthquake has hit near the California-Mexico border but there have been no reports of any damage or injuries.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-3.1 temblor struck at 9:49 p.m. Sunday. It was centered offshore from Baja California, Mexico, about 35 miles southwest of Coronado, Calif. and 45 miles southwest of San Diego.
A San Diego County sheriff's dispatcher says there are no reports of damage or injuries.
