STOCKHOLM (AP) -- Budget airline Norwegian Air Shuttle says it will open new routes from Scandinavian countries to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Orlando in the spring 2014.

It said Tuesday it will be the first airline to offer direct flights from Stockholm and Oslo to the three U.S. destinations and from Copenhagen to Los Angeles.

The fast-growing airline, which is based in a suburb of Oslo, mainly flies in Europe but in recent months has launched long-distance flights to New York and Southeast Asia.

In November it will also start flying from Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
