Encinitas wrapped up pool play with a 2-2 record, while Mountain Ridge finished 4-0.
The all-star team from the Honolulu Little League also completed pool play with a 4-0 record, including a 9-2 victory over Encinitas on Saturday.
The first of Friday's two semifinals will match the second- and third- place teams from pool play and the second will be between the first- and fourth- place teams.
The semifinal winners will play for the championship on Saturday, with the winner advancing to the Little League World Series, which is played in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

This is the first time a team from the Encinitas Little League, which was formed in 1957, has advanced to the West Regional, according to league officials.
