This week, Addison, a contemporary French fine dining restaurant at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, became the first in San Diego to be awarded a prestigious Michelin star.
Some have said it's long overdue. Others are surprised by Michelin's single-star designation.
Either way, it's been a big week for San Diego's culinary scene. On Tuesday, Michelin recognized eight other local eateries with it's "Bib Gourmand" rating for more affordable "hidden-gem" restaurants.
