"Roadtrip Nation" follows two groups of young people as they traverse the United States, meeting fascinating leaders who share their stories of following their passions and realizing their dreams. Calvin, Tina and Vanessa, known as a team as Tabula Rasa, and Aaaron, Liz, and Autumn, known by their team name, the Poor Lazy Overachievers, set out on a summer-long roadtrip that takes them from one end of the United States to the other.
The teams begin their journey in Los Angeles, then head east, with stops in San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Jackson Hole, Wyom., Fort Collins, Colo., Kansas City, New Orleans, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia.
In this episode, meet team Tabula Rasa and follow their first attempts at cold calling, from local restaurants to the White House, hoping to speak with Michelle Obama. They meet each other and their RV for the first time in Southern California, before heading to interview Christian Jacobs, lead singer of The Aquabats, and co-creator, writer, and director of the hugely popular "Yo Gabba Gabba" pre-school television show.
