Airs Sundays, July 16-30, 2017 at 11 p.m. on KPBS TV

This is the true story of Malcolm Webster, a nurse by profession and, on the surface, a perfect gentleman: well-spoken, personable and charming.

He’s also a spendthrift and killer. He marries, and then attempts to kill, a succession of women to cash in their life insurance policies.

In addition to Reece Shearsmith ("Shaun of the Dead," “The League of Gentlemen”) as Malcolm Webster, THE WIDOWER features Sheridan Smith ("Hysteria," "Quartet") as Claire Morris, Kate Fleetwood ("Les Misérables," "Philomena") as Felicity Webster, Archie Panjabi (THE GOOD WIFE, "Bend It Like Beckham") as Simone Banerjee and John Hannah (DAMAGES, "The Mummy") as DS Charlie Henry.
