The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County was unchanged today for the second time in three days, remaining at $3.057.
The average price is 1.4 cents above a week ago, 22.7 cents more than a month ago and $1.245 higher than at the start of the year, but 92.5 cents lower than at this time last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
A 17-day streak of increases ended Friday. when the average price fell two-tenths of a cent. The average price was unchanged on Saturday and fell four-tenths of a cent on Sunday.
"We appear to be at another plateau," Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California told City News Service. "I wouldn't call it a trend yet. We've seen plateaus in the middle of a price uptick before, so the prices can go either way at this point."
