Pentagon Seeks to Ease Burden on Reservists

Military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan are straining U.S. forces, especially the National Guard and Reserves. Nearly 200,000 National Guard and Reserve forces are currently serving overseas, the most since World War II. The Pentagon is accelerating efforts to reshape the balance between active duty and reserve troops. NPR's Eric Westervelt reports.
