Five Years in Afghanistan: Then and Now

It was five years ago that the Taliban fled Kabul after sustaining weeks of U.S. bombardment. Residents showered victorious Northern Alliance soldiers with flowers, candy and money as they stormed in.

An audio collage recalls reports during those hectic days -- and offers a contrast to the condition of Afghanistan now, as seen by Taliban commanders, Northern Alliance rebels, and Kabul residents.
