While most Americans were asleep, President Obama delivered one of his most anticipated speeches from Cairo, Egypt, titled "A New Beginning." In his address to the Muslim world, the president delved into a wide range of issues — from women's rights to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to governance.
A panel of young Muslims living in the U.S. react to the address and discuss Obama's goal to strengthen Muslim-U.S. relations. Zaina Arafat, originally from the West Bank and a recent graduate of Columbia University; Ahmed Attiah, a security professional originally from Egypt, and Pakistan native Niloufer Siddiqui, a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, share their views on issues deeply affecting Muslim loved ones back home.
