One of this year’s headliners is Latin Grammy Award winner, singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno.
The Guatemalan-born artist left home for Los Angeles when she was 19 to pursue her music career. Since then, she's released five albums with another one on the way. Her forthcoming album, "Spangled," is scheduled to come out next month.
Before taking the stage in San Diego, Moreno spoke with Midday Edition about her career, her immigrant experience and how she discovered blues music.
