In an astonishing series of regulatory filings, SDG&E said it is almost certain to cause or contribute to a catastrophic fire sometime in the next 20 years.

While Hall of Fame track and field coach Bob Larsen may not be a household name, in running circles his ability to push athletes past their limits to achieve success is legendary.

He's worked with marathon champion and San Diegan Meb Keflezighi and the lesser known Jamul Toads.

Larsen's career is now the subject of a new book by The New York Times Deputy Sports Editor Matthew Futterman. It's called, "Running To The Edge: A Band of Misfits and the Guru Who Unlocked the Secrets of Speed."

Futterman will be speaking about and signing the book on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Warwick’s in La Jolla.
