Diversity And Inclusion In Theatre Are Focus Of New KPBS TV Show

A new interview series that focuses on diversity and inclusion in the national theatre scene debuts Friday at 8 p.m. on KPBS 2. It's called "Theatre Corner" and will also air on KPBS Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Over the years, audiences at local theaters, such as The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse and North Coast Rep, have appreciated how they have embraced diversity and inclusion among playwrights, directors and actors.

Now, a new interview series that focuses on diversity and inclusion in the national theatre scene debuts Friday, Aug. 7, at 8 p.m. on KPBS2. It's called "Theatre Corner" and will also air on KPBS Saturday, August 8, at 4:30 p.m.

The series host, Michael Taylor, and actress Wendy Raquel Robinson joined Midday Edition on Friday to discuss the new program.
