Archie Comics newest character is many things - the son of a retired Army colonel, an aspiring West Point attendee... and gay. The last quality on that list is what's making news, as Archie Comics introduces Kevin Keller, the first openly gay character to ever grace its comic book pages - according to the Associated Press.
Writer Dan Parent tells the AP that Kevin dreams of attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and becoming an army officer like his father:
