In the Hindu Kush mountains of Afghanistan sits Observation Point Mustang, a full 6,700 feet above sea level. The Stars and Stripes recently visited OP Mustang, as it's called, and noticed the soldiers there use the area as an open-air gym.
Army Pfc. Jeremiah Chapman of Gallipolis, Ohio is a fan of working out at OP Mustang, where the 23-year-old can often be found lifting weights. He tells Stars and Stripes:
It's not all fun and games, of course. The 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division is responsible for using OP Mustang as a vantage point to catch insurgents moving between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Martin Kuz of the Stars and Stripes put together this great video piece on what life's like at Observation Point Mustang: http://youtu.be/nEVVbbFphMY
