More than eight years after the Space Shuttle Columbia exploded as it reentered Earth's atmosphere, fishermen in Texas have found a piece of the spacecraft. NASA confirmed to the Stars and Stripes that debris discovered in the receding waters of Lake Nacogdoches was a PRSD (power reactant storage and distribution) tank that provided water and electricity to the Columbia.
The chunk of debris is rather large, at 4 feet in diameter. It emerged when the drought that's been plaguing the southern United States lowered the waters of Lake Nacogdoches.
