British Tabloids Have Field Day with Prince Harry in San Diego

British Army Capt. Harry Wales arrived in California last Friday to begin very intense combat helicopter training, but you'd never know it from the British tabloids. That's because Capt. Wales is better known as Prince Harry, considered the most eligible bachelor in Great Britain (if not the world). And the gossip rags on the other side of the pond are focusing on the prince's social life in San Diego instead of his military activities.

The prince arrived at Naval Air Facility El Centro last week to start a two-month Apache helicopter training program in preparation for his return to Afghanistan, where he served in 2008. But since his arrival, he's been spending a lot of time in San Diego. Home Post reported earlier this week of how Prince Harry hung out in a Coronado pub on Friday and the Ivy Nightclub on Saturday night.

British tabloids The Daily Mail and The Sun now have stories of how Harry reportedly mingled with a 23-year-old San Diego office worker named Lindsay Swagerty at the Ivy's rooftop pool. Swagerty told The Sun:

Swagerty said she and her friends had drinks with the prince the following night, and that he was the most charming man she'd ever met. Sigh...
