Six U.S. troops have lost their lives in Afghanistan since the month of June began, according to iCasualties.org.
On June 1, Army Staff Sgt. Job Reigoux was killed when his unit was hit by a rocket propelled grenade in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan.
Reigoux, 30, was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart in Georgia.
Reigoux's sister, Carmen, spoke with Houston television station KHOU-TV, and said her brother was scheduled to come home to Texas this month.
He leaves behind a wife and two young children.
