Two U.S. soldiers died Dec. 12 in Parwan Province, Afghanistan.
Army Sgt. 1st Class Ramon S. Morris, 37, and Spc. Wyatt J. Martin, 22, were killed when their vehicle hit an improvised explosive device, according to the Department of Defense.
Both men were assigned to 3rd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Morris was from New York, New York.
Martin called Mesa, Arizona home. He is survived by his parents and two siblings, according to 12 News and the Arizona Republic, which put together this report:
