VA Provides Transportation to Therapy Sessions

The Cincinnati Veterans Administration says it will start giving a veteran with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder a ride to his weekly therapy appointment.

Johnny Waltz, who served in the Navy in both Afghanistan and Iraq, said he had no trouble getting appointments at the V.A. — he just couldn't get to the sessions. Waltz has a seizure condition that prevents him from driving.

After his story was told on NPR's All Things Considered earlier this week, Waltz's transportation problem has been solved. And, he says, he now feels optimistic that he can get the treatment that will help him.
