Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation Returns to San Diego

Tom Fudge : Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation gets going tomorrow at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla. For devotees of animation, Sick and Twisted is a highly anticipated event. You could call it the depraved cousin of Spike and Mike’s equally renowned Classic Festival of Animation.

Whether it’s been classic or sick and twisted, San Diegan “Spike” Decker has helped to launch the careers of many of the industry’s greatest talents. Spike and Mike premiered Beavis and Butthead and South Park. They presented the first public screening of Wallace and Grommit, the creations of British animator Nick Parks.
