California Innocence Project Frees Wrongfully-Accused Prisoner

Guest Host Alan Ray: You may have heard the story from KPBS reporter Ana Tintacolis,Timothy Atkins had spent 20 years in prison after he was convicted of killing a man in a robbery in 1987. But Mr. Atkins was not guilty. Somebody believed him and the California Innocence Project went to work.

In February, based on the work of the Innocence Project, Mr. Atkins was exonerated and released. Earlier this month, he met the Cal Western Law Students who took his case and proved his innocence.
