Despite recent rains, Southern California is critically low on water.  Just how parched can we expect the region to become this year?  KPBS reporter Ed Joyce explains the situation.

San Diego had rain a few days ago, but it wasn’t much -- and certainly not enough to bring levels up to normal. The dry spell has also hit the Sierras, Los Angeles, and the Colorado River -- a significant hit to San Diego’s local water supply.
