Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has picked up a key endorsement from a top Democrat in California. From Sacramento, Jenny O'Mara reports.
He talked to Barack Obama and John Edwards, but State Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez says Hillary Clinton is his choice for president. In a conference call, Clinton said the two have taken on similar issues -- such as prescription drug costs and health insurance for children.
Clinton : So I'm going to be relying on him very heavily, because he has a record of achievement.
Nunez called the Democrats an “excellent field of candidates” but said after eight years in the White House, Clinton could hit the ground running as president.
Nunez : She clearly has, I would say, experience that is second to none.
Nunez’s key job will be fundraising for Clinton in California. She and several other Democratic presidential candidates will speak this weekend at the party’s state convention in San Diego.
