Evidence Seized from Minuteman in Migrant Camp Vandalism Case

San Diego Police have seized evidence from the home of a San Diego Minuteman in connection with an investigation into recent vandalism at a migrant camp in Rancho Penasquitos.

San Diego Police have seized evidence from the home of a San Diego Minuteman in connection with an investigation into recent vandalism at a migrant camp in Rancho Penasquitos. Police say they took videos, CDs and a computer from the home of Minuteman videographer Christie Czajkowski. San Diego Police captain Jim Collins says a witness identified Czajkowski from a photo line-up as one of the people who slashed migrants' belongings two weeks ago.

Collins: We have to determine exactly what her involvement was. Like I say, hopefully we'll get more information from the videos we recovered. We'll have to present all the evidence to the District Attorney's office to determine what charges will be filed and on whom.

The witness told the police five others participated. Collins will recommend the vandalism be charged as a hate crime and a felony.
