Gasoline prices continue climbing in San Diego. The Auto Club's Elaine Beno says prices in San Diego County shot up for the third week in a row.

Gasoline prices continue climbing in San Diego. The Auto Club's Elaine Beno says prices in San Diego County shot up for the third week in a row.

Beno: And that's due to on-going tight supplies and increased wholesale prices for some of the grades of fuel that are sold in California.

Beno says there's another reason for the price spike. California gasoline is being shipped to Phoenix because one of their usual suppliers in Texas has production problems. She says we're now paying an average of $2.71 for a gallon of self-serve regular. Today's pump prices are 17 cents more than last month.
