Alison St John (Guest Host): Following the scandal at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the President and the Pentagon established nine commissions, working groups and "tiger teams" to investigate medical treatment for wounded military returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The President appointed Donna Shalala, former Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Bill Clinton to co-chair his Commission on the Care for America's Returning Wounded Warriors, along with Senator Bob Dole. The Commission has held hearings in Washington D.C. and in San Antonio. The fifth hearing is here in San Diego tomorrow.

The PCCWW will be holding a public meeting in San Diego tomorrow (Wednesday, May 24 th ) focusing on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and case management of wounded veterans.

The public meeting will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina on Harbor Drive.
