Local Event Tonight Highlights Short Films

Sorry for the late notice on this but I wanted to give a plug to the Sippin Shorts Social tonight, December 10 at 8:00pm, where you can find Alcohol, Short Films, and Networking at 1410 Rosecrans St.

There aren't a lot of places to see short films so I like to highlight any opportunity to see them. Craig Wilson, the organizer of tonight's event, says, "With thousands of filmmakers in this great city of ours we believe it is time to build upon the foundation the San Diego Film Commission and the San Diego Filmmakers Group have paved. We are working hand in hand with the San Diego Film Commission and Flash Your Shorts to organize the local community by providing another venue to bring out local filmmakers to network and show their films. We hope to build a loyal fan base for the cities local filmmakers who will follow them throughout their career."

So if you want to support both local filmmakers and short films, check this event out. Buy a $1 raffle ticket and be entered to win a 35mm print of the Avatar Trailer and a gift bag from the San Diego Film Commission. And Wilson says, "$5 at the door gets you a beer from our sponsor Trumer Pilsner! [but] $5 is not required but it helps the event stay alive."
