New California laws take effect in 2006

We talk to John Myers from KQED public radio about some of the more controversial California laws that went into effect on January 1st.

When the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve 2005, champagne corks were popped, Auld Lang Syne was sung, and a handful of new California Laws went into effect. The new laws deal with a variety of issues including: dangerous dogs, junk faxes, access to emergency contraceptives, touch-screen voting machines, and the use of performance enhancing drugs and supplements by High School athletes. We talk to John Myers from KQED public radio about some of the more controversial California laws that went into effect on January 1.
