Chula Vista isn't the only South Bay city expressing interest in acquiring the Chargers. National City is now in the ring. Its City Council last night voted to authorize officials to begin talking with the Port about a possible stadium on 52 bay front acres.
The approval also allows the City Manager to begin talks with the football team. Chargers executives met last week with Chula Vista officials to discuss a potential stadium in Otay Valley.
