25-Foot WWII Statue Prompts Admiration, Awe -- and Horror

For those who remember the end of World War Two, an iconic image often comes to mind: Alfred Eisenstadt's timeless photo of a sailor and a nurse embroiled in a passionate kiss.

For those who remember the end of World War Two, an iconic image often comes to mind: Alfred Eisenstadt's timeless photo of a sailor and a nurse embroiled in a passionate kiss.

You can now see a larger-than-life 3-D statue of the 1940's couple, thanks to artist J. Seward Johnson and the Port of San Diego, which brought it to town. The 25-foot statue, called "Unconditional Surrender", is drawing crowds to the G Street Mole Park -- some in admiration, others in awe, or even horror.
