A wildfire that broke out near Prescott, Ariz. on Tuesday morning has forced officials to evacuate people in the area.
The fire that began at 11:30 this morning had quickly burned 600 acres by mid-afternoon.
The blaze, dubbed the Doce Fire, is eight miles northwest of Prescott and is heading toward Granite Mountain wilderness. The fire hasnโt been contained yet and the fire department is calling in reinforcements.
"Right now we have one air tanker five engines and two crews and we have ordered two more air tankers two more helicopters seven more crews and ten more engines," said Noel Fletcher with the Prescott National Forest.
Right now thereโs a mandatory evacuation in place at Granite Basin. Iron Springs Road is currently closed at Skyline Road.
