Meet Teresa Romero, The United Farm Workers First Woman President GUEST: Teresa Romero, president-elect, United Farm Workers Union

For the first time in its history, a woman will become the president of the United Farm Workers labor union.

Romero, who is currently the labor union's secretary-treasurer, is also the first immigrant to head the organization. She will replace Arturo Rodriguez who plans to step down in December.

The UFW was co-founded by the late labor leader Cesar Chavez and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta. But union membership has been on the decline since its height in the 1970s.
