POLDARK Season 5 On MASTERPIECE (The Final Season)

Aidan Turner returns as the heroic Ross Poldark for a final season of drama in Cornwall. Also returning are Eleanor Tomlinson as Demelza and Jack Farthing as George Warleggan.

EPISODE GUIDE:

Episode 1 airs Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. - The Poldarks look forward to life together in peace, but a plea from Ned Depard compels Ross to return to the capital. Back in Cornwall, Demelza encounters a new opponent. George struggles to engage with the world after Elizabeth's death.

Episode 2 airs Sunday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. - Demelza and the children become caught in a dangerous web. George pursues the fruits of his new alliance, but his grief has unexpected consequences. Dwight’s expertise on insanity and honorable intentions places him and his friends on shaky ground.

Episode 3 airs Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. - Ross’ tenacity in helping Ned bears fruit, but at a cost. Demelza wrestles with how best to equip the community to look after itself; Morwenna lends herself to the cause. George’s sanity deteriorates. Cary struggles under mounting responsibilities.

Episode 4 airs Sunday, Oct. 20 at 9 p.m. - Ross is given hope for the Despards’ return. Demelza helps the community help itself. Dwight gains unexpected patients. Morwenna begins to secretly slip away from the village. A discovery leaves Geoffrey Charles and Cecily in turmoil.

Episode 5 airs Sunday, Oct. 27 at 9 p.m. - Ross returns to London with the Despards and Enyses. Morwenna tackles the grief of being parted from her son. Geoffrey Charles’ intent to marry Cecily lands them both in trouble. George conspires once again against his old enemy.

Episode 6 airs Sunday, Nov. 3 at 9 p.m. - Geoffrey Charles makes a desperate plan to elope with Cecily before she weds George and Demelza uncovers a theft at the mine. With Ned’s trial looming heavy, Ross pleads for Dwight’s help in a daring attempt to save his friend.

Episode 7 airs Sunday, Nov. 10 at 9 p.m. - Demelza discovers the French are smuggling arms into Cornwall. Ross is determined to take vengeance on Merceron and Hanson for framing Ned. Caroline puts her insecurities aside to support Kitty’s battle against Merceron, drawing attention to herself.

Episode 8 airs Sunday, Nov. 17 at 9 p.m. - Several months have passed. With their lives on the line, Ross and his friends must launch their most daring plan yet, to save themselves and the country from enemies both at home and abroad.
