Conan O'Brien begins a four-night run of his TBS television program Wednesday at the Spreckels Theatre in downtown San Diego, where Comic-Con International is getting underway.
Actor Elijah Wood, best known for portraying Frodo Baggins in the "Lord of the Rings" film trilogy, and "The Talking Dead" host Chris Hardwick are scheduled to be Wednesday night's guests.
Thursday's lineup includes the stars of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2," including actress Jennifer Lawrence.
The cast of "Game of Thrones" and "The Walking Dead" are set for Friday's program. Producers are promising "a surprise film cast" for Saturday's show.
According to TBS, it will be the first time a late-night show has been broadcast from San Diego during Comic-Con, which attracts scores of television and film performers, producers and studio heads who want to connect with fans.
O'Brien attended the 2011 Comic-Con to serve on a panel for the "Green Lantern" animated series.
