Following the nationwide success of the original “Classical Rewind,” “Classical Rewind 2” guides viewers through a non-stop tour-de-force of more of the works of the masters.
Featuring playful dances, dynamic symphonic pieces, and even melodies that can break your heart, "Classical Rewind 2" travels the centuries with delightful visual interpretations of these compositions — sometimes intriguing, often surprising, always engaging.
Host David Ogden Stiers (MASH, “The Dead Zone,” Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”), an accomplished orchestral conductor in his own right, brings his unique perspective to the history of this eternal music — and has a bit of fun in the process. “Classical Rewind 2” is more than just the music. The visual accompaniment of these classics brings a fresh approach to many familiar melodies and delightful imagery for music that may be new and unfamiliar.
Surprises include classic clips from stars of the silent film era, Model-T Fords racing to the music of Mozart, a 1960s comic’s take on an 1870s dance, and even a musical interpretation from one of the Marx Brothers! “Classical Rewind 2” is a sumptuous visual and aural buffet that invites viewers to dine on the works of the great masters.
