Set in the world of newspapers in London - its past riven by hacking scandals, its present at the mercy of the digital age and the 24-hour news cycle, its future uncertain - this razor sharp and observant drama explores the current, turbulent media landscape and the ethical dilemmas that journalists and editors face each day.
Charlotte Riley (PEAKY BLINDERS) and Ben Chaplin (APPLE YARD TREE) star, alongside Priyanga Burford (KING CHARLES III) and David Suchet (POIROT).
EPISODE GUIDE:
Episode 1: “Death Knock” airs Sunday, Oct. 6 at 10 p.m. on KPBS TV - Holly, deputy news editor of the Herald, tries to obtain CCTV footage of a fatal hit-and-run after it's given to a tabloid. Post reporter Ed comes under pressure to run a story against the will of the parents of an athlete who took his own life.
Episode 2: “Pure” airs Sunday, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. on KPBS TV - Holly helps Leona investigate a lead at a hospital. Ed struggles with his conscience after a night working on the Post's showbiz desk.
Episode 3: “Don't Take My Heart, Don't Break My Heart” airs Sunday, Oct. 20 at 10 p.m. on KPBS TV - Holly investigates a lead that a powerful business tycoon coerces young women into sleeping with him. As another source comes forward, Amina feels pressured to run the story. Duncan proposes a deal that could make waves in the political world.
Episode 4: “Magic” airs Sunday, Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. on KPBS TV - Amina feels defeated in the wake of a scandal and suffers a personal crisis. Duncan is shocked when the Post is banned from Downing Street's daily press conferences. Ed learns not to underestimate Holly's commitment to her work above all else.
Episode 5: “Two Worlds” airs Sunday, Nov. 3 at 10 p.m. on KPBS TV - A new Post colleague attempts to discredit Ed. Duncan buries himself in his work. Holly is accused of losing her professional integrity when she mishandles a source. Peter and Amina prepare the way for a big announcement about the Herald's future.
Episode 6: “Resonance” airs Sunday, Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. on KPBS TV - Duncan receives devastating news from his wife. James reopens communication with a would-be whistleblower, and Amina and Holly become convinced the story will be the most important the Herald will ever run. Holly and Duncan go head to head.
