London's New Year's Day Parade throws a New Year's Celebration with a difference on Jan. 1, 2021.
Part 1 begins at 8:30 a.m.
Join British actor Philip Glenister (BELGRAVIA, OUTCAST, CRANFORD, LIFE OF MARS, ASHES TO ASHES) as he takes a behind the scenes look at London’s New Year’s Day Parade, a turn of year tradition. Philip takes us to some of his favorite iconic locations, reveals their history and their association with the great street spectacular. We see how the parade prepares in the dead of night to wow the World each January 1 (60 minutes).
Part 2 begins at 9:30 a.m.
Then, in a pre-recorded 90 minute special, host Tim Vincent (NBC’s ACCESS HOLLYWOOD) and Sinitta (the UK singer and TV presenter) ring in New Year’s Day 2021 with a difference. Parade performers from around the World gather for a Covid safe celebration.
Pipers, drummers, cultural groups from central and South America are in the studio along with pop star and Lockdown disco queen Sophie Ellis Bextor, who performs one of her Top 10 hits - "Murder on the Dance Floor."
U.S. marching bands, including Marjory Stoneman Douglas and Wellington Community High School from Florida and Olentangy Liberty High School from Ohio join the fun and frolics with virtual performances that cross the pond, plus special messages from the Lord Mayor of Westminster and Lord Lloyd-Webber - who are all looking forward to welcoming you back to London.
