A Hybrid Pride For San Diego
San Diego Pride festivities return this year with more in-person events after the pandemic pushed the 2020 event online. KPBS arts reporter Julia Dixon Evans talked with the executive director of San Diego Pride about the new hybrid format that includes the Spirit of Stonewall Rally and other well known events, while maintaining virtual programming for those who would prefer to participate at a distance.

A Milestone In Mission Valley
San Diego's Mayor and the President of San Diego State University were among those who participated in a special topping-off ceremony for the new SDSU stadium in Mission Valley this week. John Carroll covered the story for KPBS and joins us to talk about progress on one of the biggest projects in San Diego history, which will include an expanded campus for the university.

Cinema Junkie Reboot
The refreshed KPBS Cinema Junkie podcast premieres this week along with a companion video series on YouTube. Host Beth Accomando joins us to talk about what's new with the show, which dives into the world of cinema and how it serves as a reflection on our society. The first episode is all about superhero films, which coincides with the upcoming Comic-Con at Home to replace the in-person convention for the second straight year.
