Evacuations have been lifted for a brush fire that spread over about 100 open acres in Jamul.
The Skyline Fire started shortly before 12:30 p.m. off the 17000 block of Skyline Truck Trail in Lawson Valley, northeast of Jamul, according to Cal Fire. Several structures were threatened by the flames, the state agency reports.
Around 3 p.m., firefighters have stopped the fire's forward rate of spread and the fire was 10% contained. There were no immediate reports of structural damage or injuries.
Evacuation orders were lifted around 6:30 p.m.

Evacuations were initially ordered for homes between the 15600 and 17700 blocks of Skyline Truck Trail, along with a closure of that rural roadway between Honey Springs and Lawson Valley roads.
Evacuation orders were then broadened to the area along Skyline Truck Trail from the 15000 block to Twisted Oak Road. Also included was the area on Wisecarver Truck Trail.
The Regal Edwards Rancho San Diego, 2951 Jamacha Road, was set up as a temporary evacuation site, Cal Fire said.
