Firefighters will burn piles of dead vegetation Tuesday in an open area in the Lake Morena Village community, officials said.
The controlled burn will take place on roughly three acres along Lake Morena Drive starting around 8:30 a.m., according to Cal Fire.
Motorists driving on that road during the operation should slow down and exercise extra caution due to possible visibility restrictions from drifting smoke, said Kendal Bortisser, a fire captain with the state agency.
The purpose of the project is to dispose of dry foliage and create a fire break.
